I got tired of waiting for spring, so I found the I got tired of waiting for spring, so I found the prettiest yarn in my stash (Miss Babs Sojourn in Spring Flowers) and cast on a cowl. Related: it snowed yesterday, but at least my yarn is colorful!

I am overwhelmed by choice. Inspire me. Bonus points for #offravdesigners!

Had a spectacular day hanging out @festivaltwist w Had a spectacular day hanging out @festivaltwist with @southernvulcan and my great friend @susiehb1984 who came up from NY for the weekend. It was my first fibre festival since moving North last year and getting to check out new-to-me yarnies was delightful. I settled on a naturally dyed skein of Polworth SW fingering from @cabinboyknits (sequoia, oak, sumac, cochineal) and a skein of merino/yak/silk from @fergusyarnco in "Uncle Iroh." (IYKYK.) AND THEN I impulse bought some pretty roving from @theolivesparrow for... I don't know! Spinning? Felting? Both? Too many choices. We ended the day at a German brewpub we've been meaning to try, @brauwerkhoffman, and stuffed our faces with schnitzel and spaetzel. Outstanding day, and I'm already planning for next year's Twist! #twistfestival #yarn #fibrefestival
Another outstanding weekend yarn crawling for the Another outstanding weekend yarn crawling for the #SEOntarioYarnCrawl on Saturday! This time we visited @ewe_can_knit (pics 2 &3) and picked up the 2 cheery skeins of Happy Cat, and then on to Odessa and @woolandcloth where we took forever to pick out the perfect skeins of All Dyed Up from the gorgeous display (pic 4). Along the way we stopped of in Westport (pic 5 is the amazing view driving into town), and we ended the day in Brockville with a walk through the glorious @brockvilletunnel and fish and chips on the banks of the St. Lawrence before passing the most... interesting... hotel I've ever seen. Outstanding day, and I'd do all of it except that hotel again. 😬😂
